ITINERARY of TURKEY TOUR

 

DAY 01- ISTANBUL

At the indicated time arrival to Istanbul. Meeting at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Accomodation.

DAY 02 - ISTANBUL TOUR

Breakfast.  Tour of the most important places of this magnificent city. Start with church St George and Camlica mosque. Then we will pass by the Palace of Dolmabahce and continue to the old district Eminönü. We will have the opportunity to see the Galata Bridge. Aftwerwards we continue by the cost and see the ancient city Walls of Constantinople. Later on we have the opportunity to make an optional Istanbul (95 euro) excursion and Taksim area tour. We will start the Taksim and İstiklal Street tour after completed the Bosphorus excursion. We will see the pavilions and palaces built by the sultans by the Bosphorus, which connects the Marmara Sea with the Black sea, separating the city into two parts. Finally accommodation.

DAY 03 – ISTANBUL (454 km, 4 hours 40 min) ANKARA (275 km, 4 hours 52 min.) CAPPADOCIA

Breakfast. Early in the morning we start our tour. We go by bus towards Ankara via the mountains of Bolu. Reach to Ankara, capital of Turkish Republic and visit of the Mausoleo de Atatürk, founder of modern Turkey. After lunch drive to Capadocia. On the way we see Salt Lake. Second biggest lake of Turkey. Arrival to Cappadocia. Accomodation.

 

DAY 04 - CAPPADOCIA TOUR

Optional flight of a hot air balloon. Breakfast. Today we will get to know the Cappadocia region, a volcanic area in which the geological formation started 10 million years ago. As a result of these formations phallic like pillars have come to life. The beautiful horse country Katpatuka, (as the Persians called her) is an unbelievable strip of land, enchanting and mysterious. Cappadocia region is also famous for its arts, including ceramic and carpets. Tour starts with the Valley of Pasabağ, Çavuşin, Avcilar y Güvercinlik. At the Pasabagi you can see three - headed fairy chimneys. Cavusin, which is an abandoned village with old cave Greek houses.We will visit one of the beautiful examples of underground cities built for security reasons an deven used by the first christians against the arabic attacks. Later on the visit of Avanos where existe handcrafts lik turkish rugs, ceramics and turquoise colour mineral stones. Accomodation.

 

DAY 05 – CAPPADOCIA TOUR (242 km, 3 hours 57 min) – KONYA (405 km, 6 hours 36 min) –PAMUKKALE TOUR

Breakfast. Check out from our hotel and movement towards Pamukkale via Konya.We continue on the silk road and visit the Sultanhan Caravansarai, an inn, where the camel caravans used to stop. Continuation to Pamukkale. Accommodation.

 

DAY 06 – PAMUKKALE TOUR

Breakfast. We will visit Pamukkale. Deriving from springs in a cliff almost 200 m high overlooking the plain, calcite-laden waters have created at Pamukkale (Cotton Palace) an unreal landscape, made up of mineral forests, petrified waterfalls and a series of terraced basins. At the end of the 2nd century B.C. the dynasty of the Attalids, the kings of Pergamon, established the thermal spa of Hierapolis. The ruins of the baths, temples and other Greek monuments can be seen at the site. Accomodation.

 

DAY 07 – PAMUKKALE TOUR– EPHESUS TOUR (184 km, 3 hours 40 min) – IZMIR

Breakfast. Departure from the hotel fully guided tour of Ephesus, one of the best preserved ancient sites in the world en - route, visiting the Temple of Artemis, Curetes street, famous Roman centre. Also we will visit church of Virgin Mary, where she spent last years of her life. Accomodation.

DAY 08 - KUSADASI (413 km, 6 hours 11 min ) – BURSA (135 km, 2 hours 30 min) – ISTANBUL

Breakfast. Early check out from the hotel and we head towards Bursa. We will enjoy with Panoramic visit of Bursa which was the first capital of the Ottomans before Edirne. We will visit the Mosque of Beyazıt Emir Sultan and enjoy the Silk Bazaar where you can find silk goods, pashmina, perfumes. After that we will go to Istanbul. Accomodation.

DAY 09 – ISTANBUL TOUR

Breakfast. Free day. Optional guided excursion of Istanbul Jewelery of Constantinople.  We will visit  Hagia Sophia and SULTANAHMET IMPERIAL Blue MOSQUE built in the 16th century by the architect Mehmet, known as the BLUE MOSQUE because of its magnificent interior decoration of blue Iznik tiles. HIPPODROME Ancient Hippodrome, the scene of chariot races, with the three monuments; the Obelisk of Theodosius, the bronze Serpentine Column and the Column of Constantine. Also we will visit GRAND COVERED BAZAAR. In this labyrinth of streets and passages are more than 4, 000 shops with each trade having its own area. Accomodation
